A Modern Day Maverick is someone who dares to be himself; an individual who truly lets go and becomes the person they thirst to be, and one the world deserves to see.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” - Albert Einstein
I really love Einstein's mind. I'm always blown away when I stumble across a new quote from this guy because it amazes me how well he understood some of life's most precious truths. I believe he understood that life is nothing more than an accumulation of this present moment. And that if we are able to slow down and embrace the moment we're in now, we will one day wake up and see the things we used to imagine are now our reality. Think about it, everything you see in the world now, was once nothing more than a simple idea.
Modern Day Mavericks is all about seizing the moment and trusting that when we do, everything will be alright; and better yet, not just alright; it will flourish into something beautiful. I realize that life is bigger than myself in the sense that I know there was life before me, and there will be life after me. I just happened to be born when I was born. And I am grateful for that, but that also means that I really want to get the ABSOLUTE MOST out of the current life I'm living. Sure there are going to be obstacles in life, but that doesn't mean it has to stop me, or even steal my joy. I view struggles in life just as I view death-they are inevitable, and going to occur in all of our lives. It is up to me to choose how to perceive the outcome of the current moment. And there truly are two sides to every story.
I for one want to pass on everything I learn, and to create a world around me that reflects the beauty in which it is. I believe we live in a world full of unnecessary pain, stress, and disillusioned realities; and that thought weighs heavily on me. I'm not trying to discredit anyone with pain, or even claim that I've never felt it; no, what I'm trying to do is say that I believe in a better world. In fact I know there is a better world and we can all attain it. One where mediocrity isn't praised, and one that rewards individuals for truly being original and striving for something greater than themselves, rather than scrutinized someone for doing something out of the general realm of societal norms. I feel like we take too much notice of what everyone else is doing, rather than actually living the lives we've been given.
At the end of the day we have to realize that life is much simpler than we make it out to be…We as humans have a tendency to make life chaotic and stressful. Life in its purest form truly is simple. Not necessarily easy, but simple. And it's ultimately up to us to create the world we wish to see.
Do me a favor and check out the video I left for you. It truly inspires me, and is a great example of a Modern Day Maverick! (NOTE: You don''t have to ride a bike to create a lasting life, simply GET OUT OF YOUR ROUTINE, and take control)
